Privacy Policy for DocMax - Document Manager

Summary

DocMax is a document manager, reader and scanner. It supports PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, EPUB, TXT and image files. The application does not create user accounts, does not require registration and does not show ads. DocMax does not send or upload your files over the network — the app's own code makes no internet requests. DocMax does not request the Android INTERNET permission; the EPUB and Word viewers additionally block network access. Your documents, scans and settings are never sent anywhere. Everything you work with stays on your phone. The only thing outside the app's control is the document scanner screen, which is run by Google Play Services (a separate system component with its own network access); the limited technical diagnostic information that it may send to Google is described in "Document scanner and Google Play Services" below; it never includes your documents or scans.

Information the app stores on your device

The following is stored locally, in storage controlled by the app, and is never sent to the developer:

• Application settings: language, theme (light/dark), default-reader choice and similar preferences.
• Recent and favorite files: stored as file paths (references to where a file is on your device), used to show your recently opened and favorited documents. Only a limited number of recent items is kept.
• Files you create with the tools: results such as merged, split, compressed or converted PDFs, and scanned documents, are saved to the Documents/DocMax folder on your device, organized into subfolders by type (for example PDF, Images, Text). They remain on your device under your control.
• Trash: when you delete a file inside DocMax, it is not erased immediately. It is moved to a private Trash folder inside the app (hidden from the gallery and other apps), together with a small list of the original file names and locations. Items stay there for up to 30 days and are then removed automatically; you can restore an item, delete it permanently, or empty the Trash at any time. The Trash is never copied anywhere and is removed if you uninstall the app.
• Temporary and display data: small caches such as PDF type labels ("text" or "scanned") and temporary files created while a tool is working. Temporary files are deleted automatically after the result is saved or after a short time.

Information the app does NOT collect

The app does not collect, request or access:

• Name, email address, phone number or any account identifier
• Location or GPS data
• Contacts, SMS messages or call history
• Advertising identifiers (no AD_ID)
• Any analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting data of its own (no Firebase, Crashlytics, Google Analytics or similar in the app's code)

The documents DocMax opens or creates — and their text and images — never leave your device.

Permissions and why they are needed

• All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 11+): so the "Files" screen can find and list your documents (PDF, Word, PPTX, EPUB, TXT, Excel, CSV) from all folders on your device — Downloads, messenger folders, other app folders and so on — in one place. This is the core function of a document manager. It is requested only when you tap "Allow"; the app does not request it automatically on launch, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in Android settings.
• Photos and image albums: through the same all-files access, the image tools (Image compress, Image to PDF) list the pictures on your device so that you can choose them; names and thumbnails are shown only on your screen and nothing is uploaded. Without this permission, the tools use Android's own photo picker. The same access lets DocMax rename a file, move it to the Trash or delete it — only when you ask for it.
• Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): on older Android versions, used to read your documents and to save tool results to your device.
• Camera (CAMERA): used for AR Tracing; the document scanner uses the camera through Google's scanner component (see below). The camera is used only while you are actively using those features. No audio is recorded — the app has no microphone permission.
• Internet and network state: DocMax does not request the INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions. The EPUB and Word viewers also block network access.

These permissions are used only for the purposes described above.

Passwords, signatures and watermarks

A password you type to lock or unlock a PDF is used only in the device's memory to perform that operation. It is not saved, logged or transmitted, and the developer cannot recover a forgotten password. A signature you draw and a watermark text are used only to create the result file that you save; the app does not keep them anywhere other than inside that result PDF.

Camera features

• Document scanner: lets you scan a document or book page with your camera and save it as a PDF. The scanned result is written to your device only when you choose to save it; it is not sent anywhere.
• AR Tracing: shows a live camera view so you can trace a drawing. The camera stream is shown on screen only and is not recorded or transmitted.
• Light table: temporarily sets your screen to maximum brightness. This feature uses the screen only — it does not use the camera.

Document scanner and Google Play Services

The document scanner is provided by Google's on-device document-scanning technology (Google ML Kit, via Google Play Services). According to Google's documentation, scanned images are processed on your device and are not sent to Google's servers for scanning. The scanner module itself may be delivered or updated by Google Play Services, which is a separate system component governed by Google's own privacy policy. DocMax's own code makes no network requests and does not upload your scans.

The document scanner screen is run by Google Play Services, which has its own network access that DocMax does not control. Google Play Services may send limited technical diagnostic information to Google, such as device and app information (for example device model, OS version and app package name), installation identifiers that are not intended to identify you personally, performance metrics, feature usage events and error codes. According to Google, this data is used for diagnostics and usage analytics, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and is not transferred to third parties. This information does not include your documents, scans or their contents. The developer does not receive this data.

Sharing

The developer does not share your information with anyone, because it never leaves your device.

DocMax includes "Share" and "Open in another app" features. When you use them, Android's standard sharing dialog opens and you choose which application receives the file (for example a messenger or email app). This transfer is started and controlled entirely by you; where the file goes depends on the app you pick. DocMax itself does not send anything on its own, and the developer neither sees nor receives the file.

Data retention and deletion

Your settings and lists are kept on your device while the app is installed.

• To remove the app's settings and recent/favorite lists: clear the app's data in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
• Files you created (in Documents/DocMax) and your own documents are not deleted when you uninstall — you can delete them yourself with any file manager.
• To empty the Trash earlier: open the Trash on the Files screen and delete items permanently or empty the Trash. Items older than 30 days are removed automatically.
• Files in the Trash are removed together with the app: restore anything you need before uninstalling.

Because there is no account and no server operated by the developer, no copy of your information is kept by the developer. Technical diagnostic data sent by Google's scanner component is held by Google under Google's own privacy policy and retention practices, and the developer cannot access or delete it.

Security

Your settings and lists are stored in the application's private storage area, which the Android operating system isolates from other applications. The app's own code transmits no data, so there is nothing of yours to intercept; the diagnostic information sent by Google's scanner component is encrypted in transit. DocMax also turns off Android's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer for itself, so the system does not copy your settings or lists to Google or to another device.

Children

DocMax is a general-purpose document tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not contain content designed to appeal to children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Third-party services

The current version of DocMax does not use advertising networks, third-party analytics services or third-party crash-reporting services of its own. The only third-party component is the Google ML Kit document scanner (via Google Play Services), which may send the limited technical diagnostics described above. The document rendering, PDF tools, EPUB and Word/PowerPoint viewing, and the scanning itself all run on your device.

Changes to this policy

If the application's behaviour changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the effective date above will be changed. Significant changes will also be described in the app's release notes on Google Play.

DocMax'da "Ulashish" va "Boshqa ilovada ochish" imkoniyatlari bor. • Siz yaratgan fayllar (Documents/DocMax ichida) va o‘z hujjatlaringiz ilovani o‘chirganda o‘chmaydi — ularni istalgan fayl menejeri orqali o‘zingiz o‘chirishingiz mumkin.
• Savatni muddatidan oldin bo‘shatish: "Fayllar" ekranidagi Savatni oching va fayllarni butunlay o‘chiring yoki Savatni bo‘shating. 30 kundan oshgan fayllar avtomatik o‘chiriladi.
• Savatdagi fayllar ilova bilan birga o‘chadi: ilovani o‘chirishdan oldin kerakli fayllarni qaytarib oling.

Hisob ham, ishlab chiquvchi boshqaradigan server ham bo‘lmagani uchun ma'lumotlaringizning nusxasi ishlab chiquvchida saqlanmaydi. У приложения нет учётных записей, не требуется регистрация и не показывается реклама. DocMax не отправляет и не загружает ваши файлы по сети — собственный код приложения не выполняет сетевых запросов. DocMax не запрашивает разрешение Android INTERNET; просмотрщики EPUB и Word дополнительно блокируют доступ к сети. Ваши документы, сканы и настройки никуда не отправляются. Всё, с чем вы работаете, остаётся на вашем телефоне. Вне контроля приложения остаётся только экран сканера документов: его запускает Google Play Services (отдельный системный компонент с собственным доступом к сети), и он может отправлять в Google ограниченные технические диагностические данные; они описаны ниже в разделе «Сканер документов и Google Play Services» и никогда не включают ваши документы или сканы.

Что приложение хранит на устройстве

Следующее хранится локально, в хранилище приложения, и никогда не отправляется разработчику:

• Настройки приложения: язык, тема (светлая/тёмная), выбор приложения по умолчанию и подобные настройки.
• Недавние и избранные файлы: хранятся как пути к файлам (ссылки на расположение файла на устройстве) и используются для показа недавно открытых и избранных документов. Хранится лишь ограниченное число недавних элементов.
• Файлы, созданные инструментами: объединённые, разделённые, сжатые или конвертированные PDF, а также результаты сканирования сохраняются в папку Documents/DocMax на устройстве, с разбивкой по вложенным папкам по типу (например PDF, Изображения, Текст), и остаются под вашим контролем.
• Корзина: когда вы удаляете файл внутри DocMax, он не стирается сразу. Он перемещается в закрытую папку «Корзина» внутри приложения (не виден галерее и другим приложениям) вместе с небольшим списком исходных имён и расположений. Файлы хранятся там до 30 дней, затем удаляются автоматически; вы можете в любой момент восстановить файл, удалить его навсегда или очистить корзину. Корзина никуда не копируется и удаляется вместе с приложением.
• Временные данные и данные для отображения: небольшие кэши, например метки типа PDF («текстовый» или «скан»), и временные файлы, которые создаются во время работы инструмента. Временные файлы удаляются автоматически после сохранения результата или через короткое время.

Что приложение НЕ собирает

Приложение не собирает, не запрашивает и не получает доступ к:

• Имени, email, номеру телефона или идентификатору аккаунта
• Местоположению или GPS
• Контактам, SMS или истории звонков
• Рекламным идентификаторам (AD_ID не используется)
• Данным аналитики, телеметрии или отчётам об ошибках от самого приложения (в коде приложения нет Firebase, Crashlytics, Google Analytics и подобного)

Документы, которые DocMax открывает или создаёт, — их текст и изображения — никогда не покидают ваше устройство.

Разрешения и зачем они нужны

• Доступ ко всем файлам (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 11+): чтобы экран «Файлы» мог находить и показывать ваши документы (PDF, Word, PPTX, EPUB, TXT, Excel, CSV) из всех папок устройства — «Загрузки», папки мессенджеров, папки других приложений и т. д. — в одном месте. • Камера (CAMERA): для AR Tracing; сканер документов использует камеру через компонент сканера Google (см. ниже). Камера используется только когда вы активно пользуетесь этими функциями. Звук не записывается — у приложения нет разрешения на микрофон.
• Интернет и состояние сети: DocMax не запрашивает разрешения INTERNET и ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. Просмотрщики EPUB и Word дополнительно блокируют доступ к сети.

Эти разрешения не используются ни для каких других целей.

Пароли, подписи и водяные знаки

Пароль, который вы вводите, чтобы заблокировать или разблокировать PDF, используется только в памяти устройства для выполнения этой операции. Он не сохраняется, не записывается в журналы и не передаётся; разработчик не может восстановить забытый пароль. Нарисованная вами подпись и текст водяного знака используются только для создания сохраняемого вами файла; приложение не хранит их нигде, кроме этого результата PDF.

Функции на основе камеры

• Сканер документов: позволяет отсканировать документ или страницу книги камерой и сохранить как PDF. Результат записывается на устройство только когда вы решите его сохранить; никуда не отправляется.
• AR Tracing: показывает живое изображение с камеры, чтобы обводить рисунок. Поток с камеры отображается только на экране, не записывается и не передаётся.
• Световой стол: временно включает максимальную яркость экрана. Эта функция использует только экран — камера не задействована.

Сканер документов и Google Play Services

Сканер документов работает на основе технологии сканирования Google, выполняемой на устройстве (Google ML Kit, через Google Play Services). Согласно документации Google, отсканированные изображения обрабатываются на вашем устройстве и не отправляются на серверы Google для сканирования. Сам модуль сканера может доставляться или обновляться через Google Play Services — это отдельный системный компонент, подчиняющийся собственной политике конфиденциальности Google. Собственный код DocMax не выполняет сетевых запросов и не загружает ваши сканы куда-либо.

Экран сканера документов запускает Google Play Services, у которого есть собственный доступ к сети, и DocMax им не управляет. Google Play Services может отправлять в Google ограниченные технические диагностические данные: сведения об устройстве и приложении (например, модель устройства, версия ОС и имя пакета приложения), идентификаторы установки, не предназначенные для вашей личной идентификации, показатели производительности, события использования функций и коды ошибок. По данным Google, эти данные используются для диагностики и анализа использования, шифруются при передаче (HTTPS) и не передаются третьим лицам. Эти данные не включают ваши документы, сканы или их содержимое. Разработчик эти данные не получает.

Передача данных

Разработчик не передаёт ваши данные никому, поскольку они не покидают устройство.

В DocMax есть функции «Поделиться» и «Открыть в другом приложении». При их использовании открывается стандартное окно «Поделиться» Android, и вы сами выбираете, какому приложению передать файл (например мессенджеру или почте). Этот процесс инициируете и контролируете вы; куда попадёт файл, зависит от выбранного приложения. Сам DocMax ничего не отправляет, а разработчик файл не видит и не получает.

Хранение и удаление

Ваши настройки и списки хранятся на устройстве, пока приложение установлено.

• Удалить настройки и списки недавних/избранных: очистите данные приложения в настройках Android или удалите приложение.
• Файлы, созданные вами (в Documents/DocMax), и ваши собственные документы не удаляются при удалении приложения — вы можете удалить их сами любым файловым менеджером.
• Чтобы очистить корзину раньше срока: откройте «Корзину» на экране «Файлы» и удалите файлы навсегда или очистите корзину. Файлы старше 30 дней удаляются автоматически.
• Файлы в корзине удаляются вместе с приложением: перед удалением приложения восстановите нужные файлы.

Поскольку нет ни аккаунта, ни сервера разработчика, копий ваших данных у разработчика не хранится. Технические диагностические данные, отправленные компонентом сканера Google, хранятся в Google в соответствии с собственной политикой конфиденциальности и правилами хранения Google; разработчик не имеет к ним доступа и не может их удалить.

Безопасность

Ваши настройки и списки хранятся в приватной области приложения, изолированной операционной системой Android от других приложений. Собственный код приложения не передаёт данные, поэтому перехватывать нечего; диагностические данные, отправляемые компонентом сканера Google, шифруются при передаче. DocMax отключил для себя облачное резервное копирование и перенос данных между устройствами Android, поэтому система не копирует ваши настройки и списки в Google или на другое устройство.

Дети

DocMax — это инструмент для работы с документами общего назначения, он не предназначен для детей младше 13 лет, не содержит контента, рассчитанного на привлечение детей, и не собирает намеренно их данные.

Сторонние сервисы

Текущая версия DocMax не использует собственные рекламные сети, сторонние аналитические сервисы или сторонние сервисы отчётов об ошибках. Единственный сторонний компонент — сканер документов Google ML Kit (через Google Play Services), который может отправлять ограниченную техническую диагностику, описанную выше. Просмотр документов, инструменты PDF, просмотр EPUB и Word/PowerPoint, а также само сканирование — всё работает на вашем устройстве.

Изменения политики

Если поведение приложения изменится так, что это затронет данную политику, страница будет обновлена, а дата вступления в силу изменена. Значимые изменения также будут описаны в примечаниях к выпуску в Google Play.
